Education is the foundation for building a society that can keep pace with progress. Over the last decades, the interest of the leaders has focused on establishing an educational system comparable to that of developed countries, investing all the resources necessary to achieve its objectives. To achieve these visions, the smart MENFOP has accelerated the development of education in order to achieve high quality educational outcomes. Thanks to a significant investment in human resources, the government wanted to create the necessary conditions for the establishment of pioneering Djiboutian institutions, characterized by a high-quality learning environment and equipped with the most up-to-date technological tools enabling generations ‘ students to complete their higher education.
This began with the opening of the University of Djibouti, a center for vocational training and private higher education institutions that encourages creativity among young nationals, supported by new academic disciplines that meet the needs of the labor market. The Ministry of Education has worked hard to develop learning standards and a national curriculum evaluation system to emulate global best practices.
