Fellowship seeks projects related to democracy

DEADLINE: March 20, 2023 —Practitioners from developing democracies and non-democratic countries in the Horn of Africa can apply for the 2023-2024 HEDI Institute Democracy Fellows Programme.

Democracy activists, journalists, civil society leaders, and scholars from around the Horn of Africa can apply. Fellows will spend five months in residence at the one of horn of Africa nations and undertake independent research on democracy in a particular country or territory.

Projects may focus on the political, social, economic, legal, and cultural aspects of democratic development.

Each fellow will receive a monthly stipend for living expenses, plus basic health insurance and roundtrip travel to and from where he is living and to where he is supposed to work at around the beginning and end of the fellowship period.
